Schönried lies at an altitude of 1,231 metres
above sea level, on a sunny plateau above Gstaad. The neat little
village offers winter sports fans and hikers easy access to
the surrounding ski regions and to an extensive network of cross-country
skiing trails and hiking routes. The Horneggli chair lift is
the gateway to the largest ski region of «Gstaad Mountain
Rides» with 250 km of runs. The Rellerli cable car takes
you to the top of the mountain with the sunniest slopes and
most spectacular views.
