Gstaad Menuhin Festival
In the mid-1950s, Yehudi Menuhin and his family discovered Saanenland and Gstaad. The elemental power of nature and the mountains fascinate and inspire him. Not only the gentle alpine landscape of the Saanenland impressed him, but also the meeting of western Switzerland, German-speaking culture and the nearby south with Italianità. Because Gstaad and the surrounding area also offer an ideal environment for the international education of his children (including the institutes "Le Rosey" and "John F. Kennedy International School" located here), Menuhin settles with his family in Saanenland. On walks in the mountains with his children, the city dweller discovers the nature-loving everyday life of the local population, which also influences Menuhin's musical development with their folklore and music.

EFG Swiss Open Gstaad - ATP 250
Felix Auger-Aliassime returns to the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad 2023! Canada's world No. 12 leads a strong field of Grand Slam and Gstaad champions.
Gstaad, June 20, 2023 – The organizers are delighted that shooting star Felix Auger-Aliassime has chosen the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad for the second time after 2018. "A great tournament in an extraordinary environment," says the 22-year-old Canadian, who is top seeded in this year's strong field - ahead of Stuttgart finalist Jan-Lennard Struff (De, ATP 21). “The landscape is majestic, the village is authentic and charming, and the audience and fans are very hospitable. I can't wait to come back!"
Auger-Aliassime was 17 years old when he first competed in the Bernese Oberland, when he advanced to the second round. The fact that the man, whose birthday is on the same day as Roger Federer (August 8th) feels comfortable on Swiss soil, was impressively demonstrated last October when he won the title at the Swiss Indoors in Basel.

Gstaad Züglete - When the cows conquer the promenade
Deep and bright bell tones, cows decorated with flowers: experience the traditional "Züglete" in Gstaad. The local farmers bring their herds of cattle down into the valley and move through the village with them.
The festival begins in the morning with the "Ylüte der Zügleten" by a Treichlerclub. Then, every 30 minutes, the farming families of Gstaad drive their herds of cattle adorned with flowers along the promenade through the village. Some have already walked a few hours from the alp to the valley. In between, the visitors of the "Züglete" have the opportunity to enjoy the concert of the Menuhin Festival in the Kapälli Gstaad, before the herds of cattle, which are the pride of their owners, move in. A prime example of traditional customs and alpine authenticity.
