We sell adapters in our boutique. A few adapters can be borrowed from reception.

Pharmacy

There is no pharmacy in Schönried. In Gstaad (10 minutes by car) you will find professional advice. We would be happy to explain to you personally where the pharmacies are located.

The Saanenland offers you a wide range of beautiful and interesting excursion destinations. You will find many possibilities in the brochures that are available in the hotel entrance or on www.gstaad.ch. We are also happy to be there for you personally with advice and information.

A cot is available on request at CHF 20 per night.

baby sitting

We will help where possible and organize a babysitter (for a fee) to look after the children for a few hours in the evening.

bathrobe

On request, we can provide you with additional bathrobes on loan. Please inquire at the reception.

Railroad station

Schönried train station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

mountain railways

The Horneggli, our local mountain, is always worth a visit. Enjoy a cool drink after a hike or a hot chocolate after a day of skiing and be amazed by the view.

ATM (ATM)

You will find the nearest ATM at the Saanenbank in the village. (600 meters in the direction of the village on the left-hand side of the road, the building opposite Hotel Kernen).

Bed

Our hotel is equipped with box spring beds. Every mattress has a softer and a harder side. So if your sleep is not ideal because of the lying comfort, let us know.

duvets

Are you missing a warm extra blanket? Are you allergic to feathers? Or would you like a wool blanket? We are happy to take care of your request.

Flower

To order flowers, please contact the reception.

Iron

The housekeeping team does the washing and ironing for you from 8 am to 5 pm (subject to a charge).

Check in

Your room is ready for occupancy on the day of arrival from 3:00 p.m. at the latest.

Check out

On the day of your departure, we ask you to vacate the room by 12:00 p.m. Of course, you can still use the parking lot for the whole day of departure.

In the village you will find the HaarGenau hairdressing salon (5 minutes on foot). We would be happy to make an appointment for you.

Gstaad offers numerous events for young and old throughout the year. You can find information on this on the brochure wall in the hotel entrance or on www.gstaad.ch.

Bicycle (only in summer)

Bicycles can be rented from the Frauschi sports shop in Schönried. www.frautschi.ch

fitness

In the Hotel Ermitage (500m away) you will find a fitness center (extra charge). In our wellness area you will find a treadmill and a fitness bike.

Fire

Dear Guest
Your safety is our common concern. Fire alarms are installed throughout the house.
Do you notice smoke or fire? There are red alarm buttons in the corridor: open the flap and press the button!
On the inside of the room doors you will find the procedure and behavior in the event of a fire alarm. The escape routes are signposted. In case of fire, please follow the instructions of the employees.

In case of emergancy:

Follow the team's instructions
Follow the EXIT signs and leave the building through the emergency exits.
Go to the collection point and report to the employee who is doing the guest counting. The collection point is opposite the hotel entrance.

You can have your documents copied at the reception.

foreign currency

You are also welcome to pay your bill in euros. Of course, we will also change your euros into Swiss francs. We charge according to the respective daily rates and reserve the right to charge 4% commission. We do not change euro coins.

Breakfast

A good start to the day also includes a nutritious meal. From high-fiber Bircher muesli to various types of yoghurt and seeds to a variety of sausage and cheese platters. Our rich breakfast is served to you daily from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We would also be happy to bring breakfast to your room. You will find the list in the guest folder, please hang it on the door the evening before.

lost property

We will keep items left behind for you at the reception for three months. If you wish, we can forward the items to you. (according to postal fees).

Luggage and storage

You are welcome to deposit your luggage at the reception on the day of your departure if you still want to spend the day in Saanenland.
If you wish, we can bring your luggage to your room. Please let us know.

Your minibar is not stocked. Please fill out the minibar list and give it to one of our employees. We are also happy to bring other drinks to your room.

Would you like to pass on your Alpenrose experience? Give away a voucher! Our reception will issue you a voucher with the services you require.

In Saanenmöser (5 minutes by car) there is a beautiful 18-hole golf course.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout the hotel. We charge CHF 40.00 per night for cleaning (this does not include food).

Church

Services are held regularly in the Saanen Reformed Church. The Catholic Church is in Gstaad. Sunday Mass begins at 11 a.m.

parking spot

Parking spaces are available in front of the hotel. You are also welcome to park your car in our underground car park. The price for this is CHF 20 per night. You can leave the garage at any time, the gate opens as soon as you stand in front of it. On the day of departure you can of course leave your car until your final departure.

We are happy to receive your mail at the reception. We will deliver the incoming mail or message to you personally or put it in the key compartment. If you are expecting an urgent message, please inform us of your whereabouts.

Smoking

We would like to point out that smoking is not permitted in any publicly accessible rooms in Switzerland. The entire complex of the Hotel Alpenrose, including the rooms, is non-smoking (non-smoking zone). You are welcome to enjoy your cigarette or cigar in the smoking room, on the terrace or in front of the hotel. Please note that we reserve the right to charge CHF 200 if you smoke in the room or in other areas of the hotel.

We are a small hotel, so our reception is not always manned. If you don't find anyone there, you are asked to ring the service bell there. You will be served as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

We would be happy to lend you umbrellas. You will find these in the entrance.

Our rooms are equipped with a fixed safe in the closet. Instructions are printed on the safe door.

Key

At check-in you will receive a room key and a blue entrance key from us. The silver key is only for your room, the blue one for the hotel entrance. The hotel entrance is unlocked at 07:00 and locked at 23:00.

sports and leisure activities

The beginning of beautiful hikes, bike routes and the ski area (in winter) can be easily reached in a short time without a car.

In Gstaad there is a wonderful cigar shop "Fuhrer". We would be happy to explain to you personally where exactly you can find it. You can buy cigarettes in the “Wehren” bakery, a 5-minute walk in the direction of the village.

Gas station

The nearest petrol station is 500m towards the village, after the bakery on the right.

When the weather is nice, we open our terrace and serve lunch and dinner outside. When it gets cold, we offer Bärber coats that are sure to keep you warm.

To turn it on, press the power button on the remote control. If the TV does not respond, the main button is located on the back of the TV, which you must press.

We would be happy to advise you personally about beautiful hikes and excursion destinations in our region. The von Siebenthal family will tell you about the most beautiful hiking trails in the region.

laundry service

You are welcome to give us your laundry. A price list and a bag for the laundry are in the closet in the room. Please bring the laundry to the reception or inform us that the laundry bag is in the room ready to be picked up. For dry cleaning etc. we are happy to take your laundry to the central laundry.

wellness

Our house has its own small wellness area with sauna, jacuzzi, steam shower, Kinjoy massage chair, power plate and Kettler bike. The price for use is CHF 50 for 90 minutes. We are happy to take reservations at the reception.
